The UGC studio makes a talking product video from a presenter image and a script you write. It does not film a real customer, write the script for you, or turn a packshot into a talking clip in one step. This walkthrough covers the inputs, the four steps, and the limits that decide whether a clip is publishable.
What you need before you generate
Open the AI UGC video generator. You need a presenter and words. Pick one of the 26 built-in creators or upload a front-facing portrait you have the right to use. Then write the script. Pixla does not draft it here. The clip length follows the speech, subject to the model you pick. The script field takes up to 5,000 characters and needs about two seconds of speech as a minimum.
Video generation needs a paid credit pack. The studio shows the per-second rate before you run anything. Video is billed from 10 credits per second on Standard up to 25 on the highest tier. Voiceover is separate: 5 credits per 1,000 characters on a standard voice, 17 on premium, with a 3-credit minimum per clip. Exports have no Pixla watermark. Commercial use is permitted. You still review the product and the claims.
How to make the video
- Choose the creator. Filter by format (UGC ad, unboxing, skincare, live selling, podcast) or upload your own face. Whole face visible, mouth relaxed, even light, eyes in focus. A vertical photo produces a vertical 9:16 clip.
- Write the script. Type what the person says. Pick a voice or upload a recording. Read it aloud once. If you cannot say it in one breath, the clip will feel long.
- Direct the delivery (optional). Describe a gesture: holding the product up, glancing at it, speaking to camera. Leave it blank if the default talking head is enough.
- Generate and review. Pick a quality tier, generate, then check product accuracy, lip-sync, and any AI disclosure your platform requires.
Getting the product into the frame
The studio animates a presenter image. If the product is not already in that image, put it there first. Use product on hand for a held still, virtual try-on for apparel, or jewelry try-on for a worn piece. Then bring that still here.
Re-voicing a clip you already have
If the footage is fine and only the line changed, upload a 2-10 second mp4 or mov and re-sync the mouth to new audio (under 60 seconds). That path is stricter than generating from a script.
What not to publish
- Do not present a generated testimonial as a real customer review.
- Do not recreate a real person without written consent.
- Health, supplement and finance claims need their own legal review.
- Label AI where the platform or your jurisdiction requires it.
Frequently asked questions
Can I make a UGC video from a product photo in one step?
No. The studio animates a presenter image, so the product has to be in that image first. Make a held or worn still, then bring it into the UGC studio.
Does Pixla write the script?
Not in this tool. You write the words. That is intentional: the script is the part of an ad that most needs a human.
How much does a UGC video cost?
Video is charged per second of finished output, from 10 credits per second on Standard up to 25 on the highest tier. Voiceover is billed separately. The studio shows the rate before you generate. Video needs a paid credit pack.
Do the videos have a watermark?
No. Generated videos export without Pixla branding. Commercial use is permitted. You remain responsible for the claims in the script.
