Model swap keeps the garment and changes the person. Colour, print, cut and drape come from your photograph. Only the face and body are generated again. Use it when the outfit is already right and you need another model on the same look.
What to upload
Open AI model swap. A full-body or half-body fashion photo works best. The garment should be fully visible, not hidden behind bags or heavy folds. If the source shows a real person, you still need that person's permission to use the photo.
How to swap the model
- Upload the fashion photo. This is the look you want to keep.
- Choose the new model. Pick a gallery model or upload a reference face you have rights to use.
- Generate. The studio rebuilds the figure under the clothes. Check buttons, seams, prints and shadows. Warped patterns still happen.
- Export. Image credits follow the usual still rates (shown in the studio). Free-tier output is watermarked. Paid packs include commercial use.
Where the image can go
On Amazon, an on-model shot belongs in additional images, not the main listing image. Amazon requires the main image on pure white (RGB 255, 255, 255) with no model. Use the swap for gallery variety, lookbooks and ads, after you review the garment.

To change the outfit on the same person, use the clothes changer. To put a face onto an existing photo or clip without rebuilding the body, use face swap.
Frequently asked questions
Does the outfit stay the same?
That is the job. Colour, print, cut and drape are taken from your photograph. Review the print and the drape before you publish. They are not guaranteed pixel-identical.
Do I need the original model’s permission?
If the source photo shows a real person, yes, you need the right to use that photo. The generated model is new. Commercial use of the output follows your credit pack.
Can a swapped image be my Amazon main image?
No. Amazon requires the main listing image on a pure white background with no model. Put on-model swaps in additional images.
How is this different from face swap?
Face swap replaces a face on an existing photo or clip. Model swap rebuilds the person under the garment so body and proportions change with the new model.
