Product on hand turns a plain product photo into a still of that product being held. You do not upload a model. The hand and scene are generated. Scale is approximate. It is not a measurement.
What to upload
Open AI product on hand. Use one product photo, sharp, on a plain background. Small text, logos and reflective packaging can change during generation, so inspect every image at full size.
How to generate the held shot
- Upload the product. Cosmetics, small electronics, bottles, accessories and other items that can sit in a hand.
- Pick hand style and scene. Skin tone, hand pose and background come from the studio options, not from a second photo you supply.
- Generate and review. Check that the product still looks like the item you ship. Labels and barcodes are the first things to fail.
- Use it downstream. A held still can become a talking clip in the UGC studio, or a packshot set in the product photo generator.
What it cannot claim
The hand shows approximate scale. Do not use the image to imply exact dimensions. Marketplace acceptance is not guaranteed. Amazon, Shopify and Etsy each set their own image rules. Commercial use is on paid packs. Free-tier output is watermarked.
